DMC Formentera

The island that sets its own pace.

Unspoilt, 83 km², best experienced by bike or e-bike — programmes for small groups who are looking for the opposite of scalable.

Request a proposal

Formentera is the smallest inhabited Balearic island — and the only one that has actively decided not to allow mass-tourism infrastructure. Not a single hotel with more than 200 rooms. No cruise-ship calls. No congress centre. The result is an island that looks like the Balearics did 40 years ago. We work there with groups of up to 60.

Why Formentera

When the programme has to be small enough to share nothing.

  • 01

    Reach

Bicycles and e-bikes — the ideal way to get around as a group.

Formentera is an island made for two wheels. The flat terrain, short distances and Mediterranean climate make bikes and e-bikes a natural part of any programme — not as a team-building add-on, but as the way you move between venues. No bus transfer, no waiting by the roadside, no windscreen between you and the view.

  • 02

    Sustainability

Ses Illetes — regularly rated among the ten most beautiful beaches in Europe.

Caribbean-blue water, white sand, no sunloungers, no parasols, no bar — just sea and the Posidonia seagrass beds that make the water that clear. A private breakfast on the beach, lunch on the anchored boat, a sunset aperitif on the wooden jetty: Ses Illetes needs no setup.

  • 03

    Reach

La Mola — plateau with lighthouse backdrop, 192 m above sea level.

Formentera's eastern plateau ends with a 19th-century lighthouse at a 192-metre cliff face. Sunrise team building, sunset gala dinner, private lighthouse tour: venues with this character don't exist on the other Balearics — and on Formentera they're not a public spectacle but a negotiation.

  • 04

    Craft

Maximum exclusivity — small groups effectively book half the island.

Formentera has no chain hotel with 500 beds, no congress centre, no event service handling 40 groups simultaneously. That means: one client, one group, one team. No room next to another corporate client, no competing event in the adjacent hall. The isolation effect costs nothing extra here — it's the base structure.

  • 05

    Partnership

Ibiza team as backbone — 20-minute ferry, 20 years of network.

Formentera programmes are run from the Ibiza office — the team that has been working in the Pityusas since 2005. The 20-minute ferry from Ibiza Town is not an obstacle but standard operating procedure: suppliers, caterers and boat transport run through established Ibiza networks we have maintained for two decades. Formentera gets Ibiza infrastructure, with the quiet Ibiza does not have.

  • 06

    Speed

Season June–September — shorter, but reliably beautiful.

Formentera's season is shorter than Mallorca's or Ibiza's — outside summer, ferry frequency drops sharply and supply thins out. Within the season, reliability is inversely proportional to length: 300+ sunshine days per year, stable climate, no Mallorca-style peak-season overload. For well-planned summer incentives, that's ideal.
