What is a DMC?
A destination management company plans and runs programmes in its own destination — venues, hotels, transfers, activities, catering and performers under one roof, with a team that lives and works there. For you that means one contact from brief to on-site delivery, insider access to venues and suppliers, and costs handled more efficiently. LifeXperiences has worked this way in Mallorca and Ibiza since 2005, in Menorca since 2006 and in Malta since 2025.
Which island is best for large conferences and incentive travel?
Mallorca. The largest Balearic island offers the widest infrastructure: congress centres, international hotels and private estates within minutes of each other — programmes for groups of 20 to 2,000 are all feasible. It also has the best flight connections of the Balearics, with direct services from almost every European city.
What makes Ibiza stand out as an event destination?
Ibiza combines international design quality with a creative energy that cannot be replicated elsewhere. Private estates and agrotourismos away from the club scene, world-class wellness venues and locations inside the Dalt Vila city walls make it the first choice when an incentive needs to become a talking point. LXP has had its own team on the island since 2005.
Which events is Menorca best suited for?
Menorca is the right choice for small groups, executive retreats and incentives looking for distance and exclusivity. As a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve (since 1993, World Heritage since 2023) the island offers unspoilt nature, private coves and estate venues that can be reserved exclusively for your group — quiet, undisturbed, far from mass tourism.
Which groups is Formentera right for?
Formentera is the smallest inhabited Balearic island: not a single hotel with more than 200 rooms, no cruise ships, no congress centre. We work there with groups of up to 60 — incentives, team building and executive retreats, best experienced by bike or e-bike. The season runs from June to September; programmes are run by our Ibiza team, a 20-minute ferry away.

Malta offers a Mediterranean contrast to the Balearics: millennia of history as a backdrop, cinematic venues (Valletta, the Three Cities, Gozo) within minutes of each other, English as an official language and direct flights from across Europe. Particularly suited to international groups looking for a new destination without sacrificing professional DMC infrastructure. LXP has been on the ground since 2025.
When is the best time for a programme on each island?
Mallorca: March to October, with around 300 days of sunshine a year. Ibiza: April to October; the calmer months are May and October. Menorca: May to September — with availability when Mallorca and Ibiza are sold out. Formentera: June to September. Malta: all year round — the island has no off-season. Summer dates go early; we recommend asking early.
