Taking Responsibility

Four criteria we rate our portfolio against — shown on every experience that meets them.

A rating system is no use buried in a report. Ours sits on the experience itself — where the choosing happens.

Working from internationally recognised standards, we built a rating system covering our entire portfolio of products and services. Every experience is assessed against four criteria; where it meets one, it carries that mark.

The mark appears on each activity's own page, and the activity catalogues of our destinations can be filtered by it — while the programme is still open, not once it is fixed.

The four criteria

What we measure against.

No point score, no overall grade. Four dimensions, each one either met or not — so it stays visible what an experience is actually good at.

  • Environmental Awareness

Protects and preserves natural resources and biodiversity, and respects the balance of the ecosystems the activity takes place in.

  • People Engagement

Supports wellbeing and human development along the whole value chain — staff, local community and guests — and leaves an economic benefit with the people who live here.

  • Positive Impact & Regeneration

Does more than leave a good impression: it contributes to regenerating natural resources. Usually run together with local conservation organisations.

  • Celebrating Cultural Heritage

Carries the cultural heritage of the Balearics — language, customs, festivals, heritage sites, food, art and craft — and builds understanding between guests and island.

Carbon footprint

We want to reduce our environmental footprint and protect natural resources and biodiversity. That applies not only to our own consumption and emissions but to every partner along the value chain — with the aim of offering lower-carbon alternatives across the whole portfolio.

Our destinations are Mediterranean islands. Protecting that sea and its ecosystems therefore comes first.

On offsetting the emissions of an event: it is mandatory for services with a heavy environmental footprint and voluntary for everything else. Offset payments go to our partner projects.
