Sustainability starts inside the company, not in the brochure. How we work, what we buy, and what we let ourselves be measured against — verified by independent certification.
Before changing the industry, we need to focus on adapting our daily business routines and habits to actually change our behavior into what we consider a role model for others.
We aim to minimize our footprint towards being a carbon neutral business in 2022. On an organizational level, we are working on reducing our own use of resources to minimize our emissions. Therefore, we created internal standards to guarantee reduction of energy and water usage and minimize waste within the office and event organization. Furthermore, we implemented a purchasing policy to guarantee we comply with our standards also during procurement.
We are currently implementing a sustainability management system to clearly document our company’s carbon emissions. Our staff is continuously trained regarding our standards and principles and builds the base to offering unique experiences compliant with our sustainable practices.

Certifications
We are working towards achieving internationally recognized certifications for our sustainable business approach within the tourism industry and in general. This is to further develop our concept in compliance with international standards and to guarantee the integrity of our approach.

Travelife Partner
In April 2020 we joined Travelife, an internationally recognised three-stage certification programme for tour operators. Since November 2020 we hold the Travelife Partner Award, its second level, in recognition of our commitment to social and environmental sustainability. We meet more than 100 criteria covering sustainability management, office operations, supplier selection and cooperation, and client communication.

Carboncero
Part of our commitment to protect and regenerate the environment is measuring and reducing our own footprint. We therefore determined our emissions (Scope 1 & 2) voluntarily and set a clear reduction target. Certified by our collaboration partner Carbonocero, together with Biosphere, the Responsible Tourism Institute and Fundación Plan 21.
