It is essential to preserve the beauty and biodiversity of our planet and combat the growing threat of plastic pollution to our oceans and ecosystems. The group can become a part of the solution by participating in the Guardians of the MED activity, a meaningful mission that goes beyond just removing waste from the coast. This ESG-certified beach clean-up promotes citizen science and contributes to a global study on plastic pollution. Groups collect, classify, and count micro- and mesoplastic in controlled areas, directly supporting environmental research.
Give Back to Nature: Make a Difference with a Beach Clean-Up
Upon arrival at one of Mallorca’s beaches, groups are greeted by our expert guides who introduce the Guardians of the MED activity. They are split into smaller circles, and work together to clear the beach of plastic waste, meticulously documenting every piece they collect. Each item contributes crucial data for environmental research and policy change. By engaging with skilled marine scientists from the Guardians of the MED team, participants gain profound insights into the MedGardens project and the vital importance of marine conservation. As the activity concludes, each participant receives a personalized thermos bottle, symbolizing their commitment to sustainability and leaving a lasting impact far beyond the day’s work.
From Beach Clean-Up to Ocean Adventures
Following the Guardians of the MED clean-up, the adventure can be extended to an unforgettable Mediterranean experience. The group could dive into a thrilling SUP or kayak tour or spark some fun with lively beach Olympics. For a more relaxed afternoon, the group can enjoy the rich tastes of traditional cuisine during a Paella Cooking Workshop, while taking in the breath-taking views of the island in a summer breeze. The group can immerse themselves in the ocean’s rhythm and take advantage of the day, where a perfect blend of responsibility and recreation promises a memorable and enjoyable day by the sea.
