Tree Planting

This beautiful tour offers insight into the interesting history of Sóller, as well as an introduction to the valley's rich orange farming culture and the importance of trees. On a guided tour, participants will learn everything about Sóllers architecture, the surrounding landscape and the fascinating historical sights while being surrounded by the picturesque Tramuntana mountain range. The tour will end at a private orange and lemon orchard where the group will learn more about the cultivation of orange trees and even plant one themselves. 

Fighting against climate change by planting a tree

After the tour through Sóller, at the orchard, guests will be welcomed by the Mallorquin owner who will show the group around and explain which aromatic herbs and fruits are best used for local culinary specialities. Finally, after a short explanation of the process that is to follow, the group will plant a tree. With this last yet most important step of the activity, participants not only take responsibility for preserving the natural environment but will also learn how important trees are to the planet and fight against climate change. Afterwards, the orchard's gardeners will take care of the trees until they bear fruit. 

Turning the Tree Planting into a full-day event 

Tree planting doesn't have to be combined with a trip to Sóller - it can also be organised at any other possible location the offers the necessary circumstances. Tree planting is a perfect activity to combine with a Zero Km food Xperience, which can be turned into an interactive dinner.
